At Hagerty International here in the UK we have supported and acted as the insurance partners for such events as the Paris to Peeking, the Great Race, the Louis Vuitton, The Jewel that is Jordan, etc etc.

Under normal circumstances we would provide transit coverage for the vehicles leaving their Country of origin. The transit policy covers the car from the moment that it is collected from departure point and expires when the client collects the car at its final destination. The insurance policy provides agreed value coverage, all transit moves by road, sea and air and also any time the car is in storage between moves.

Once the vehicle has arrived in its Country of destination and depending on local laws we adapt the coverage accordingly. In some cases they have to purchase liability coverage in the Country they are travelling in, in which case we would provide agreed value cover for accidental damage, fire and theft. In many Countries we can provide the liability coverage also.

In all cases we can move very quickly and can normally have policies turned around in 24 hours.
